This is just a sketch in a sketchbook at the moment, a work in progress you could call it. I think ink and bleach will be the main media i use instead of pencil colour which is so dirty. i want the figure in white to really stand out. imagine the crease isn't there. just a silly small sketchbook.

Christmas card!! (finally...)

took a while but here is the final copy. now just to print. we had several discussions about this yesterday, none of which made sense to me, so could be interesting sorting that out.

i'm not very good with oil pastels but this went fairly well by my standards. its little me, dressed in fancy dress as a pixie :)
bought a book with lots of quotes in to inspire me the other day. its worked wonders.

Mums flying lessons!! might add some colour to this. christmas cards in progess, and soup for lunch!!!

Lyrical inspiration

Recently i have taken a lot of inspiration from lyrics, sometimes very literal interpretations like this one ('...Back and forth through my mind behind a cigarette...' - from Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes) others more complicated and distorted. STILL have not designed the Christmas cards.

Cockney man and lady

i started this as a joke but quickly became very inspired by the way it was going, translating the various parts into cockney rhyming slang to use as an image. north and south=mouth, new delhi=belly etc etc.
finally the internet has decided to work again which makes me very very happy indeed.
